Shocking courtroom video captures “Prisoner of the Year” headbutting convicted child sex offender in court

Dramatic courtroom video captured the moment a suspect convicted of raping a four-year-old child was headbutted repeatedly by another inmate moments after the New Hampshire man was sentenced to prison for the horrific sexual assault.

According to WMUR-TV, 29-year-old Christopher Elwell was sentenced to 7 ½ years to 15 years behind bars and will be required to register as a sex offender.

As he sat down after he was issued his sentence, a shackled and handcuffed Josiah Davies headbutted the man multiple times.

Elwell (above)  was accused of sexually assaulting the four-year-old during a sleepover.

The station recorded what the incident on video; Elwell did not appear to be hurt and seemed impassive.

The Strafford County deputy sheriff quickly pulled Davies off of Elwell, brought him to the other side of the bench and restrained him.

Davies, 27, was waiting for his arraignment on a probation violation.

The Strafford County Attorney’s Office revealed that the two men did not know each other before the incident and that it must have been something about Elwell’s crime that infuriated Davies.

Elwell was accused of sexually attacking a four-year-girl during a sleepover in Dover in June.

He originally refused to admit any wrongdoing, but then pleaded guilty on Thursday to felony aggravated sexual assault and neglecting to register as a sex offender.

Josiah Davies’ was previously busted for passing fake checks

The second charge originated from a conviction in 2008 for taking part in sexual acts with a 14-year-old. Elwell was 20 at the time.

Davies, who is from Rochester, was in court for violating his probation in a forgery case.

The 27-year-old has been charged with 17 felony counts for purportedly passing fake checks worth almost $9,000.

The county sheriff’s office is looking into the courtroom attack. Davies could be facing up to seven years behind bars.
