Authorities in Georgia said a getaway vehicle ran out of gas after an armed robbery near Atlanta, which led to the prompt arrest of the two suspects responsible.

Gwinnett County police Corporal Michele Pihera said that Najee Logan, 18, and Justin Larry, 21, have been charged with armed robbery after their arrest on Tuesday after police discovered the car with no gas.

Pihera’s statement said the victim surrendered a wallet at gunpoint in a grocery store parking lot at roughly 1 a.m.

Officers discovered the vehicle about 15 minutes later with Logan and Larry inside.

Pihera said it’s fortunate the victim wasn’t injured, chalking up the arrests to what she referred to as “poor planning” by the suspects.
