Authorities in Yonkers, New York revealed that three suspects are facing federal charges after they were busted with 13 kilos of cocaine and almost 19,000 envelopes packed with heroin.

According to News12 Westchester, Ansley Estrella, Ronald Leon, and Luis Oscar Reyes were taken into custody on charges including narcotics conspiracy and distribution and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.

Yonkers Police officials said officers received a call last week about suspicious activity on Sweetfield Circle.

Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of three men forcing another person into a residence.

When the YPD officers approached the front door of the home, the suspects opened up wearing surgical masks covering their faces, indicative that a controlled substance packaging operation was taking place.

“Through a thorough investigation, we were able to discover an apartment that had a large number of drugs. We believe it to be a stash house and part of a larger operation, but the investigation is ongoing. We have taken three individuals into custody,” Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner said.

Law enforcement officials said Reyes is not a legal citizen and Estrella recently became a naturalized citizen. Leon’s legal status is unknown.

All three suspects remain in custody on $50,000 bond.
