California authorities arrested a burglary suspect who attempted to rob a business near Sacramento but was forced to call 911 after he ended up lodged inside a chimney, earning himself the nickname “criminal Santa.”

Citrus Heights Police officials said Friday that 32-year-old Jesse Berube of Rocklin, managed to escape injury but not arrest after sliding down the chimney of the business but got himself stuck inside.

The burglary suspect managed to reach his mobile cellphone and dial 911 for help, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department’s website.

Sacramento Firefighters responded to the scene and used special equipment to dislodge Berube from the chimney.

As a result, Berube now faces one count of burglary.

Police nicknamed Berube “criminal Santa” who “does not have the same skills as the real deal.”
