On Wednesday, authorities in California busted a lucrative marijuana grow operation allegedly headed by a 43-year-old San Bernardino woman.

Investigators revealed that the kingpin responsible for the marijuana grow operation is a mother from a luxurious neighborhood in the Pacific Palisades.

San Bernardino police, along with federal officials seized over 24,000 plants during the bust, WTSP reported.

The large operation is typically associated with a drug lord, but this stash belonged to 43-year-old Stephanie Smith.

Smith was making millions every month through her drug growing enterprise.

Officers said they received a tip months ago that the pot was being cultivated in an empty building.

Investigators were immediately suspicious that the empty building had generated an electric bill of $67,000.

The probe uncovered a major operation with employees, guards, gates and a missing building permit.

Smith was reportedly interviewed on Tuesday but was not taken into custody. It is not clear whether she will be arrested.

If charges are filed, she is facing a misdemeanor charge, jail time and a penalty at the state level.
