Louisiana man facing life in prison for killing girlfriend’s molester, says he’s ‘not sorry’

A Louisiana man who is facing a mandatory sentence of life behind bars after he confessed to the horrific murder of his girlfriend’s convicted molester explained that he is “not sorry” for what he did.

According to The Advocate, Jace Crehan was convicted on Thursday of the stabbing and strangling death of Robert Noce Jr, who was 47, back in 2015.

Noce, an ex-boyfriend of Brittany Monk’s mother, was sleeping in his trailer during the early morning murder.

Crehan allegedly packed his body into a 55-gallon container.

The report indicated that 13 days before the murder, Noce pleaded “no contest” in Baton Rouge to the sexual molestation of Monk, who was 20-years-old.

Monk admitted to taking part in the killing while she was seven months pregnant, and pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

She now faces up to 40 years in prison.

The report added that it took the jury an hour to decide Crehan, who did not react to the verdict.

His grandparents, who were in the courtroom, sobbed as the verdict was read.

“You don’t want people taking justice into their own hands,” Hillar Moore III, the district attorney, stated.

The report said his office rejected attempts by Crehan to decrease the charges to manslaughter.

Crehan’s attorneys, in the closing arguments, called the murder revenge in the heat of the moment. Crehan was heard on tape talking with authorities confessing to the murder.

“I feel a lot better. It’s not regret. Is it remorse? I’m not sorry,” he said.
