Texas State Troopers seize $1.76M worth of marijuana during traffic stop

One individual in Arson County, Texas is facing felony drug charges after law enforcement officials revealed that a trooper discovered 291 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

According to Newschannel10,  Texas State trooper pulled over a 2001 Chevrolet in Carson County for a traffic violation.

Authorities said the trooper searched the vehicle and discovered multiple vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana packed inside of a suitcase, worth an estimated $1.76 million.

The driver, 33-year-old Shannon Perry, from California, was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of marijuana.

Officials believe the drugs were being transported from California to Oklahoma.
