Authorities say the remains of an Alabama teenager who went missing two weeks ago was found on Christmas Eve.

On December 12th, 18-year-old Christian Boyle was reported missing from Blount County after he stopped answering the phone.

Family members told investigators that they were worried because the teen’s phone was off and he hadn’t checked on his sick father.

“I just knew something was wrong. I started texting and calling all of his friends. I knew that it was not normal and I knew that he would let me know if he was ok. I still hoped and prayed that he would come home safe,” his mother Kerry Payne told WBRC.

A tip led officers to discovered Boyle’s body near his 2001 Oldsmobile Alero on Monday night.

Police are investigating his death as a homicide.

Boyle’s relatives created a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his funeral.

“There was no life insurance, no ways to fund a funeral, and with unfortunate events, we have to ask our loved ones for help,” the page stated.
