Authorities have released few details since a property manager found the bodies Tuesday in a basement apartment in a home along the Hudson River in Troy, just north of Albany.

‘After being in this business for almost 42 years, I can’t describe the savagery of this. I don’t have the word,” Troy Police Chief James Tedesco said in a statement.

Police are asking the public for any information relating to the case. No suspect has been identified publicly.

Tedesco told WTEN that the killings do not appear random.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt that a person who committed this crime is capable of anything,” Tedesco said, adding that police don’t believe there was an imminent danger to the public.

Following the discovery, cops swarmed the street and cordoned off the block around the home in the Lansingburgh neighborhood which sits along the Hudson River.

Police officials refused to release any additional details including possible suspects, or motive behind the quadruple homicide but maintained that the investigation is ongoing.
