Massachusetts authorities arrested a Rhode Island man after he arrived at a shipping company in a brand-new pickup truck he had recently paid with cash to claim two crates containing 112 pounds of marijuana.

Wareham Police officials said officers were alerted by employees of the Cape Cod Express after two suspicious wooden crates arrived at the  shipping facility.

Police confronted Michael Chen, 40, of Providence, Rhode Island, after he showed up at the facility on Wednesday to claim ownership of the illicit shipment.

Cops said Chen consented to a search of the crate’s contents.

According to NECN, officers discovered packages containing 112 pounds of weed.

Chen was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with trafficking over 100 pounds of marijuana.

Authorities also seized the pot and his 2017 Ford F117  pickup truck for possible forfeiture proceedings.

Police officials said Chen had recently purchased the pickup with cash.

Chen was released after posting $7,500 bail. It’s not immediately clear if he hired a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
