A model and bartender from Dallas, who also refers to herself as a “hard-working girl,” was taken into custody after neighbors identified her as the purported “porch pirate” package thief robbing items off of their porches.

Police in the Dallas-Fort Worth area arrested 33-year-old Kelli Russell, for driving without a license last Thursday, CBS DFW reported.

Authorities searched her apartment and discovered a “large amount of stolen packages,” which required two patrol cars to recover, according to Aubrey White, who lives in the same apartment complex as Russell.

“An insane amount of things,” White said. “They took two police cars, the trunks and the backseats were both full of packages.”

Russell, who works as a model and bartender, was reportedly busted on surveillance footage stealing packages from homes. White said she saw a video that was posted online and “immediately recognized” Russell.

“As far as I know, she’s a nice girl, so this is a shock,” Leann Dawson said.

White remembered noticing Russell often throwing away boxes, adding: “[She] took boxes to that dumpster across the street, because ours was full.”

Russell also reportedly set up a GoFundMe page to help her purchase a vehicle. Friends donated over $300 to the fundraiser.

Authorities are looking for victims of the alleged ‘porch pirate’ to ascertain how many items were stolen. She is facing charges of theft.

Russell was released from custody on Friday.
