A fugitive who was busted 16 years ago for attempting to sell 25 pounds of marijuana in New Jersey was apprehended on Tuesday in Jamaica, where he had been working as a DJ.

Davey Scott tried to sell the weed to an undercover officer with the Bergen County prosecutor’s office narcotics task force in 2001.

After posting bond, Scott failed to show up for a court appearance in 2004, and authorities have been trying to find him ever since.

Detectives learned that the 48-year-old fugitive was in Kingston, Jamaica where he makes a living as “DJ Tallman,” the New York Daily News reported.

Prosecutors were given the right to extradite Scott to the United States to face charges dating back to the 2001 arrest.

Scott was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, aggravated assault on an officer and avoiding apprehension.
