An interagency gang investigation carried out over the past four months has resulted in the arrest of six alleged gang members.

The probe was launched into a street gang alleged to be behind several shootings in Oxnard. Oxnard Police officers and deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office carried out the investigation.

Between October and January, 11 search warrants were executed as a part of the investigation. Four of the warrants were served in Oxnard by the Oxnard Gang Enforcement and K-9 Unit. The other seven were executed in Port Hueneme, Palmdale, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and L.A.

As a result of the warrants, authorities recovered ten firearms, 88 pounds of weed, 54 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of meth, 245 grams of heroin, one car, and $63,432 in cash, VCStar.com reported.

Six males were apprehended during the investigation.

Investigators revealed that Joseph Barron, 28, Joseph Tamayo, 21, Jose Geronimo, 33, and Jonathon Reyes, 28, were taken into custody on suspicion of conspiring to commit assault with a deadly weapon for the benefit of a street game, along with the illegal transportation of firearms.

Eduardo Luna, 37, and Barron were also detained on suspicion of conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance for sale, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Darius Flewellen, 52, was taken into custody on suspicion of conspiring to transport a controlled substance for sale.
