Police in Mexican border state of Nuevo Leon seize Russian RPG during traffic stop

State officers in Nuevo Leon, Mexico discovered a Russian rocket-propelled grenade during a traffic stop as part of an enforcement effort focused on street-level dealers.

Authorities also confiscated drugs and a firearm.

The seizure occurred along the highway that links Monterrey with Saltillo in Santa Catarina.

A group of officers working for the State Ministerial Police had been carrying out an operation to identify street-level selling points when they noticed a convoy of three vehicles.

Police in Nuevo Leon also seized various drugs and a firearm during the traffic stop

When the officers approached the vehicle, the drivers fled.

Nuevo Leon State Police units caught up with the group, arrested the occupants, and searched the vehicles.

Authorities discovered a Russian-made RPG, body armor, a gun, and various quantities of drugs packaged for street-level distribution, Breitbart Texas reprted.

In total, four men and two women were arrested and were turned over to federal officials.
