A grand jury in Atlantic County, New Jersey handed down indictments for ten suspects linked to drug distribution and the drug-related deaths of three victims, Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner revealed on Friday.

The ten individuals have been tied to 41-year-old George Stokes, who was previously indicted on 29 charges, which include three counts of first-degree drug-induced death strict liability homicide.

Following the deaths of Hector Santos, William Ang Jr., and Caroline Boothby, the Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit learned that Stokes was distributing fatal doses of fentanyl, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

Philip Eldred, 30, has been indicted on one count of strict liability homicide for the drug-induced death of Boothby in August 2017.

Eldred has also been charged with maintaining a manufacturing facility for a dangerous substance, unlawful possession of a handgun, CDS distribution, multiple counts of distribution within a school zone and a public area, along with conspiracy. Eldred is currently behind bars in the Atlantic County jail.

Angel Cruz, 34, and Sean Devinney, 25, have also been indicted on CDS charges and have been booked into the Atlantic County Jail.

Alissa Cunningham, 30, was charged with strict liability homicide for the drug-induced death of Ang in June 2017, along with multiple counts of CDS distribution. She is in custody at the Cape May County jail.

Jesus Baker, 39, and 31-year-old Khrystian Morris were indicted on one count of strict liability homicide of Ang and CDS charges and have not yet been apprehended.

Jessica Downey, 39, was also indicted for strict liability drug-induced homicide in Ang’s death and CDS distribution. She is in the intensive care unit of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Russel Krumaker, 40, 31-year-old Taiwan West, and 30-year-old Joseph Smalley have all been charged with CDS distribution and conspiracy.

“Dealers should be aware that if you sell drugs that cause the death of others, they will be charged with homicide,” Tyner announced in a statement.
