Police in Northern California arrested a high school track coach on suspicion of possession of child pornography mere days after his twin brother, also a school coach, was busted on similar charges.

Authorities said the two investigations were unrelated and the first arrest didn’t lead to the other.

According to the WCVB, San Jose Police arrested 47-year-old Clinton Pappadakis, Oak Grove High School track coach on Feb. 20 after executing a search warrant at his home and discovering child porn on multiple electronic devices.

The arrest occurred just days after authorities detained his twin brother Clifford Pappadakis, a coach at Willow Glen Middle School also in San Jose, on Feb. 14 on suspicion of possession child pornography.

Officials said the arrest of Clinton Pappadakis stemmed from an investigation that was initiated by San Jose Police after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip of “suspicious activity.”

“We are disappointed to learn of these allegations as we expect our employees to be professional and ethical in their interactions with students, other employees, and the community,” East Side Union High School District Superintendent Chris Funk said in a statement.

“The employee has been released from his coaching duties. At this point in time, there is no reason to believe that our students were involved in any way with this misconduct.”

It wasn’t clear whether either brother has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
