A New York man entered a guilty plea last week in a revenge porn case after threatening to leak explicit naked photos of over 30 women.

Joseph Iorio, 21, threatened these women and said that he would publish the “revenge porn” pictures unless they sent him even more explicit photos, according to the New York Post.

He was taken into custody last July on charges tied to the purported “sextortion” scheme.

Prosecutors indicated that Iorio ran a website’s chat room, which featured explicit pictures of women that had been sent to the site by men and boys.

He would not permit clients to see the most explicit photos and videos until they gave him the identifies and contact information for the women in the pictures.

Once he secured the information, Iorio would then contact the women and threaten to disseminate their pictures unless they gave him with more lewd shots.

Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini announced in a statement: “We can only imagine the type of fear, isolation, and desperation these women must feel when they receive a message that someone they don’t know has an image of them naked or performing a sex act.”

He compared Iorio’s behavior to “a modern form of sexual torture.”

Iorio faces five years behind bars. He is set to be sentenced on May 2nd.
