A Texas man, who was taken into custody on Sunday after authorities said they discovered a stockpile of firearms that included an AK-47, AR-15, and bump stock in his hotel room, told detectives that he was on a classified mission for the government, according to The Lowell Sun.

Francho S. Bradley, 59, and 40-year-old Adrianne D. Jennings were arrested after Bradley contacted police to the hotel room to report that someone was trying to break in.

Officers responded and recovered the weapons.

Bradley contacted the police while he was out of the hotel room and told responding officers that he had a gun in his room, the Lowell-Sun reported.

The couple had allegedly traveled from Texas to Massachusetts with the stockpile of weapons.

Adrianne D. Jennings faces eight counts of possession of a large capacity firearm and other charges.

The couple is facing eight counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, three counts of possession of a silencer, among other charges which include possessing a firearm without a license and possessing a bump stock.

The two are in custody without bail after their arraignment Monday in Lowell District Court.

Normandin said his client uses the firearms to conduct business.
