Couple charged with child endangerment ran a brothel from home

Authorities in Pennsylvania reported that a couple operated a brothel out of a home where three young children resided.

Ingram police revealed that 26-year-old Brittany Patrick and her 27-year-old boyfriend, Lukas Trout, are facing charges of child endangerment.

Patrick has also been charged with prostitution, while Trout is facing charges related to conspiracy.

Officials said they found out about the brothel after receiving complaints from Patrick’s neighbors. Detectives soon came across an advertisement that Patrick had posted on an adult website.

The probe concluded on Friday when an undercover officer went to Patrick’s residence, and Trout allegedly welcomed him and brought him to a bedroom while holding their 18-month-old son.

Police revealed the children of Patrick’s roommate, who are 8- and 10-years-old, were also allegedly at the home while the prostitution was actively taking place.

Patrick allegedly told police she had been having sex for cash to pay for heroin for the past three or four months while the children were present in the apartment, WPXI reports.

Officers also discovered pills, a bag of heroin, crack pipes, syringes and drug paraphernalia inside the home – which was scattered with bags of garbage.

Patrick was booked into Alleghany County Jail and later released on a nonmonetary bond. She is scheduled to appear back in court on April 12.
