Lead singer of metal band American Head Charge arrested for possession of stolen property

California uthorities arrested Cameron Heacock, the frontman for metal band American Head Charge after police in Orange County discovered more than a dozen stolen guitars in his possession.

According to KCBS-TV, the 40-year-old rocker was reportedly stopped Wednesday in Costa Mesa while driving a stolen van.

Officials said the vehicle and a nearby storage unit was filled with stolen property.

Police say 13 guitars were recovered, nine of the instruments were stolen from a Guitar Center store.

The musician remains in custody Saturday, according to online jail records. A message left with his record label seeking comment was not immediately returned.

Cameron Heacock co-founded American Head Charge in Minnesota in the 1990s. Their most recent album, “Tango Umbrella,” came out in 2016.
