A motorist, who police said was possessing cocaine and heroin, tried to toss the drugs out of his vehicle as he tried to flee authorities in Martin County, Florida.

Tyko Charleston Dean, 41, of Oakland Park, was charged with trafficking cocaine and heroin, evading arrest without violence, and evidence tampering.

He remained in custody at the Martin County Jail Saturday on $410,000 bail, the TC Palm reported.

Deputies and investigators were carrying out a drug enforcement effort last Friday on I95.

Officers tried to pull over Dean near Kanner Highway, but he fled when authorities asked him to exit the vehicle.

After a short pursuit, Dean was forced to stop. Despite his attempt to throw his drugs out of his window, investigators seized 359 grams of cocaine, and 31-grams of heroin, all of which came from the vehicle that Dean was driving.
