A former Apple employee’s affinity for Victoria’s Secret items resulted in her arrest and conviction in a $243,000 embezzlement plot.

Police in New Jersey indicated that 42-year-old Toni Ann Branca was sentenced Friday to three years behind bars for embezzlement.

She entered a guilty plea back in January to charge of second-degree theft by deception.

The former Apple administrative assistant used a company credit card to purchase items at Victoria’s Secret, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, according to the Philly Voice.

However, investigators said it was the Victoria’s Secret transactions that Apple noticed first, leading to her bust.

Branca, who resides in Livingston, N.J., mostly worked from home and handled scheduling and travel arrangements for other Apple staffers. She was given a company American Express card to make purchases related to her job.

Authorities learned that she submitted duplicate requests for reimbursement, to be direct deposited to her bank account, and used the duplicate payments to make personal purchases.

A review revealed that Branca spent up to $110,000, and paid back $95,000 before she was sentenced.

“Branca went on a lavish shopping spree at the expense of her employer, but she bought herself a state prison term,” Veronica Allende, the director of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, stated. “Our financial crimes bureau will continue to uncover these schemes and bring those responsible to justice.”
