Son of former Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Erik Williams charged with capital murder

The son of former Dallas Cowboys legend Erik Williams has been charged with two counts of capital murder in what police believe was a drug deal gone awry.

The Star-Telegram reported that authorities arrested Cassius Shakembe Williams, 20, and another man, Rozman Rah-saan Shannon Jr., both of Garland, Texas, in connection with the fatal shooting of Jacob Bradley Hollett, 19 and Dalton James Prater, 18, in a Dallas suburb.

The two victims were reportedly gunned down on June 12 in Mesquite, Texas.

Both suspects were charged with capital murder which carries the death penalty if convicted

Deputies found Prater dead inside a pickup truck while Hollett was found in a separate vehicle and transported to the hospital where he later died.

According to TMZ, investigators said the victims were allegedly selling marijuana to Williams and Shannon when the suspects brandished weapons and attempted to rob the drugs.

Police said when Williams was arrested, officers found an AK47 and an undisclosed amount of illegal drugs in the back seat of his car.

Williams and Shannon are accused of fatally shooting Jacob Bradley Hollett, 19 (left), and Dalton James Prater, 18 (right), while trying to buy marijuana from the teens

Bond for both suspects has been set at $1 million each.

If convicted, Williams and Shannon could face the death penalty.
