Authorities in Florida arrested former NFL defensive lineman and University of Alabama All-American Keith McCants on drug-related charges earlier this week.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the 50-year-old Keith McCants early Monday near St. Petersburg on a felony count of possession of crack cocaine and driving with a suspended license, according to ESPN.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end was released from custody after posting bond. However, jail records don’t list a lawyer who could comment on the arrest.

Records show McCants has had multiple brushes with the law since 2010, the most recent being in January when he was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

A judge ordered McCants to appear back in court on July 10th.

McCants, who was a member of the NCAA All-American Team for the Crimson Tide, was the Buccaneers first-round pick in the 1990 NFL Draft.

He also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Oilers before his career ended in 1995.
