Cops: Suspect in slaying of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was tracked down because of saggy pants

Officers busted a New Jersey gang hangout for suspects charged in the horrific slaying of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, the 15-year-old innocent teen in the Bronx, New York, who was murdered over mistaken identity.

Officials in New Jersey revealed that they arrested six suspects linked to the murder — including two men in NYPD custody, which brings the total number of people arrested to eight.

According to the New York Post, authorities tracked down one of the suspects because of his saggy pants.

After receiving a tip, police surrounded a residence in Paterson on Sunday just before 2 p.m., ABC7 reported.

One cop looked inside of a second-floor window and noticed a suspect matching the description of 21-year-old Jose Taverez.

Police were searching for a man with similar tattoos and red pants. Taverez was sporting khaki pants, but he had them hanging low on his waist that the cop noticed the red pants underneath, according to a department spokesperson.

Taverez saw the officer and jumped out a window, but he was apprehended a short time later.

After hearing commotion, officers went into the house and arrested five other suspects.

The men were identified as Manuel Rivera, 18; Danel Fernandez, 21, and Santiago Rodriguez, 24, from the Bronx; Jose Muniz, 21, of Patterson; and Joniki Martinez, 24, of Freeport, New York.

An NYPD flyer describing three of the suspects resulted in the tip in Paterson.

A half-dozen members of the violent Dominican gang Trinitarios were busted on video dragging Guzman-Feliz — who was a part of the NYPD Law Enforcement Explorers program — from a bodega in the Bronx before butchering him to death with knives and a machete.

The thugs mistakenly believed that Guzman-Feliz was another target.

The NYPD has also arrested Kevin J. Alvarez, 19, for second-degree murder, manslaughter, gang assault, and assault and Elvin Garcia, 23, who faces first- and second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
