Keya Morgan, the former business manager of Marvel Comics’ legendary founder Stan Lee is facing multiple charges for filing a bogus police report in early June.

The report surfaced just after the 95-year-old comic book tycoon filed a restraining order against the man.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan was charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office after he was arrested early this month. He was charged with two counts each of filing a false police report of an emergency and a false report of a crime. Additionally, he was also charged with violating probation.

Morgan was arrested this month and posted $20,000 bail. It was speculated at the time that the arrest was related to a police report he filed that Stan Lee was approached at his residence by armed assailants who demanded cash.

Lee proceeded to file a restraining order against Morgan one day before his arrest after accusations of elder abuse came to light. Authorities have been looking into reports of elder abuse against Lee since early this year and had declared an emergency order preventing Morgan from having contact with Lee before his arrest.

However, before the restraining order was filed, he made it appear that Morgan was a trusted business manager. With his assistance, Lee posted a video on Twitter revealing to fans that if they wanted anything that Morgan was the person to get in touch with.

“Anybody else who claims to be my rep is making that story up,” he said in the video. “I want to put it on the record. If you want me, call me, if you can’t get me, call Morgan. The two of us are working together and conquering the world.”

It’s not clear what happened to damage the pair’s relationship, but Lee’s restraining order against Morgan can be awarded to victims of physical and financial abuse. It has not been revealed if Lee thought Morgan was trying to hurt him or steal from him. Investigators, however, have launched a probe against Morgan over reports of elder abuse.
