Texas authorities release mugshot of Esmeralda Garza, the mother accused of selling her children.

Law enforcement officials in Texas have released the mugshot of a mother who reportedly sold her children.

DPS Troopers issued a statement to KRIS 6 News about a probe and a raid that took place on Friday, June 29th, in the Corpus Christi area.

The press release indicated that agents found a seven-year-old boy, who was reportedly sold by Esmeralda Garza, 29. Two males suspects purchased the boy.

Detectives added the investigation showed that two more children were in the process of being sold. DPS investigators indicated that Garza was trying to sell two girls, ages two and three.

Garza was taken into custody and charged with sale or purchase of a child, which authorities say is a third-degree felony. She was booked into the Nueces County Jail and her bond was set at $100,000.

Meanwhile, during the DPS bust last Friday, officials said a male and a female were also taken into custody as a result of a drug probe and additional charges are expected to be filed.

They were also taken to the Nueces County Jail.

The probe is not over, according to DPS Troopers, and additional charges may be pending against Garza.
