Police in New Orleans arrested a man after stumbling upon a large drug stash in his Bourbon Street hotel room.

Law enforcement officials said 41-year-old Jerry Myrick was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.

According to Nola.com, three other people found in the hotel room including 48-year-old Jay Dee Ashley, 28-year-old Leah Armstrong, and 24-year-old Jaclyn Meshako also face drug possession charges.

Authorities said cops responding to a call of an intoxicated person, who refused to leave a business, arrived at the scene and arrested Myrick around 2:40 a.m. Friday.

Officers found Myrick in possession of amphetamines and cash.

Additionally, Myrick made comments that led police to suspect he had a drug stash in his hotel room.

Officials said officers conducted a subsequent search of Myrick’s hotel room and discovered a substantial amount of cash along with heroin, opioids, marijuana, amphetamines and psychedelic mushrooms.

Court records don’t indicate whether Myrick or any of the other suspects have hired attorneys.

Photos of the suspects were not immediately made available.
