Arizona authorities say five young adults were arrested following a drug-related shootout that left bullet holes in a car and one of the alleged participants with a hand wound.

The Yavapia CountySheriff’s Office said  the shootout erupted on Tuesday after three men identified as Derrick Fabela, 19, of Prescott Valley; Anthony Jaramillo, 23, of Apache Junction; and Sadat Cruz-Felton, 20, of Sacramento, arrived at a gas station in Peeples Valley spotted Juan Jimenez, 21, who had previously used counterfeit currency to buy marijuana from them.

According to the office, the marijuana buyer invited the sellers to his home but instead arranged to have them ambushed.

The office says that led to gunfire at the home and during a vehicle pursuit before both cars went off the roadway and arriving deputies arrested the five on suspicion of various crimes and seized several guns, AZCentral.com reported.

Police arrive at the scene and arrested Fabela, Jaramillo, and Cruz-Felton on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and weapons misconduct, the Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement officials said Jimenez and Miranda Avila were also booked on charges of attempted first-degree murder, drive-by shooting, and weapons endangerment, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities are reviewing possible charges against a 17-year-old boy in connection with the drug-related shootout.
