Alabama man charged with bestiality after allegedly molesting horse

An Alabama man has been charged with bestiality after police said he repeatedly sexually molested a horse.

According to AL.com, 18-year-old Daniel Bennett was arrested last Thursday after the horse’s owner and her husband found the teen inside a barn stall with her 20-year-old steed named: “Polly.”

Bennett told Janes “he liked horses and just wanted to pet the horse.”

Janes’ husband held the teen at gunpoint until police arrived on the scene.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said Bennett admitted to investigators of his attempt to molest the horse.

Deputies reportedly found Bennett wearing a trench coat concealing a burglar’s tool.

Janes suspects this wasn’t an isolated incident and said maintains she uncovered evidence in the past month to suggest Bennett previously had inappropriate contact with her horse.

“I would say seven maybe ten times, toilet paper had been left in the barn,  haystacks were removed, and items had been turned over. And that’s as far as I want to go,” Janes told NBC15.

The Bestiality charge is listed as a misdemeanor on Bennett’s arrest warrant, which states he “engaged in or submitted to any sexual contact with an animal, to-wit: a horse.”

Sheriff’s officials said the Irvington resident also faces charges of sexual misconduct, second-degree criminal trespassing, and possession of burglar’s tools..

A judge has scheduled Bennett’s next court appearance for Jan. 18.
