A prison guard in New York has been accused of sexually assaulting raping a female inmate at a federal detention center in Brooklyn, and forced her to perform sexual acts before he smugged in the morning after pill for her.

Lieutenant Carlos Martinez is on trial for the purported rape of an inmate, identified only as Maria, who says he assaulted her repeatedly at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) between 2015 and 2016, The Brooklyn Daily Eagal reported.

On Tuesday, the 31-year-old woman testified that Martinez, 47, forced her to perform oral sex on him and raped her on a desk in an empty office inside the central Brooklyn Federal holding facility.

The victim was in custody on drug trafficking charges at the time but has since been released.

Carlos Martinez, 47, is accused of repeatedly raping a female inmate repeatedly between December 2015 and April 2016

On Tuesday, she sobbed in court as she recalled the alleged abuse.

AM NY reported that the woman was too traumatized to look at Martinez in person and identified him in a picture.

Shivering, she said the court: “It was the worst thing that ever happened to me. He killed me inside.”

She claimed that Martinez threatened her not to report the assaults and said she would be given additional time in prison if she did.

The woman was serving a three-year sentence.

“I didn’t want problems. I didn’t want to be there a day longer… He’s a man who has a certain position. Who’s going to believe a person who’s a criminal versus a person who has a position, a life,” the woman added.

She also stated Martinez hadassured her not to worry about getting pregnant because he had had a vasectomy.

The federal prison guard (shown above in his mugshot) was arrested after the woman was released and came forward with rape allegations

Nonetheless, the prison guard still smuggled her a morning-after pill.

The victim said she tried to tell fellow female inmates but that they were unsympathetic and told her she was lucky to be having sex while behind bars.

Martinez did not deny that the two had sex but has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape.

His attorney slammed the woman’s credibility and said she only came forward with the accusations while she faces deportation to the Dominican Republic.

She reportedly also filed a $20 million lawsuit against the Department of Corrections which he said undermined her motives.

Martinez is one of the various guards at the facility who are accused of misconduct.
