“If you wanted strong painkillers and things like that, she was the go-to person,” Keith Byrd, the Decatur County Sheriff in Tennessee, said. The person that Sheriff Byrd if referring to isn’t the leader of some drug cartel. Instead, he’s referring to Betty Jordan, a 75-year-old woman who was recently arrested during a drug raid.

WREG reported that the elderly woman from Parsons, Tennessee has been charged with three counts of drug manufacturing, delivery, distribution, and possession, along three counts of possession for “opioids, heroin, morphine and different things,” Sheriff Byrd continued.

Undercover authorities also recovered Oxycodone, Xanax, and $12,000 purchased from Jordan and following a raid on her home.

Sheriff Byrd is furious that Jordan has been breaking the law for so long.

“If it’s been going on for 20 years… in her fifties when she started doing this,” he continued.

Sheriff Byrd said that Jordan, who uses a walker and a wheelchair, has been released on a $50,000 bond and is in the hospital.

He anticipates more arrests in the case but could not reveal additional details.

“Like an octopus, this thing has tentacles that go in different directions,” Sheriff Boyd stated.

A lot of people have heard of Betty Jordan the area, but only Casey Richards would comment.

He thinks Jordan’s age should be taken into account.

“With her age and stuff, I’d put her on probation for the rest of her life. If it was me,” he stated.
