Ohio Authorities make ‘largest meth seizure’ tied to Mexican drug cartel

Cincinnati News, FOX19-WXIX TV

Ohio’s Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil revealed the arrests of seven suspects and over 32 pounds of drugs confiscated as part of a four-month probe into a drug trafficking network in Cincinnati linked to a Mexican drug cartel.

In October, officers with the Organized Crime Division received a tip that multiple people were involved in narcotics distribution.

Neil reported that the suspects traveled to Los Angeles and met with members of a Mexican drug cartel to purchase drugs, FOX 19 reported.

Officials said the narcotics were shipped to locations in Kentucky, Hamilton County, and Butler County.

Search warrants executed on February 7th and 9th resulted in the seizure 23 pounds of crystal meth, worth roughly $1 million, 9.3 pounds of heroin/fentanyl, worth an estimated $600,000, 1,100 heroin/fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone, worth an estimated $31,000. Authorities also seized 12 handguns and assault type weapons.

The sheriff’s office added that the amount of crystal meth was the largest seizure in the department’s history.

The following individuals were taken into custody:

– Justin McElroy, Mario Adolfo Rosalles-Garcia, and Molly Manning were charged with possession and drug trafficking.
– Robert Howard was charged with possession, trafficking, weapons under disability, and misdemeanor domestic violence.
– Jeremy Schnur and Taylor Finley were charged with possession, trafficking, and conspiracy.
– Wesley Breen was charged with possession, trafficking, and weapons under disability,

Six of the co-conspirators remain in the custody of the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting arraignment while Manning is being held in the Bourbon County Jail, where he awaits extradition.
