North Carolina authorities arrest eight members of Sex, Money, Murder gang

North Carolina authorities launched a multi-agency operation resulting in the arrests of eight documented members of the Sex, Money, Murder gang.

Edgecombe County Sheriff Clee Atkinson said during a press conference that the Tar River Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a Rocky Mount home Tuesday, seizing 520 bags of heroin, nearly $14,000 cash, three handguns and crack cocaine.

Atkinson said the men arrested are part of the Bloods subset known as the Sex Money Murder street gang, WCNT reported.

Officials said the gang members used the residence primarily as a drug distribution station.

One of the firearms recovered during the operation was stolen, while the others had serial numbers removed.

The suspects charged are identified as:

-Joshua Cleveland Mabry 29, of Pinetops

-Jeffrey Merritt Jr 26, of Rocky Mount

-Davelle Lashon Debro 27, of Rocky Mount

-Jahquan Pierce 27, of Rocky Mount

-Frankie-Ramel Whaley, 23, of Rocky Mount

-Johnny Hugh Williams III 25, of Rocky Mount

-Darius Eburg 25, Pinetops.

-Kelvin Jerome Wright,32, of Rocky Mount

Authorities charged the eight men with possession or trafficking of heroin, cocaine or Suboxone, and multiple individual counts.
