A significant amount of illegal narcotics were taken off off the streets, and 25 people were taken into custody last week following a drug bust that included the execution of six search warrants and two controlled traffic stops in Berkeley County, South Carolina.

In addition to the drugs, which included cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, meth, hydrocodone, alprazolam, ecstasy, and suboxone strips, investigators also seized a stolen car and two stolen guns.

The Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Moncks Corner Police Department and agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to carry out the warrants.

Authorities said 25 suspects were arrested during the drug bust, while six are still on the lam, WCBD reported.

“Selling drugs, dealing stolen property, stolen firearms – none of that is something that we allow here in Berkeley County,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said in a social media post. “These initiatives start with citizens tips and feedback, so I want to thank those who take the time to help us help them.”

In addition to multiple charges of drug possession, there were also charges for drug production, distribution, and trafficking, along with charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a stolen firearm, among other charges.

Those arrested are between the ages of 17 to 71.

Those arrested were booked into the Hill Finklea Detention Center where they are awaiting warrant service and their bond hearings.
