Shocking footage shows FBI’s dramatic takedown of would-be thieves attempting armored truck robbery

Footage has surfaced showing three men in Florida apprehended on Interstate 95 near Palm City just hours before they were planning to murder an armored truck’s guards and rob $4 million in cash.

The video, which was recorded on February 20th and was released last week, showed police hunting down the suspects, identified as Daryl Canady, Alger Ellison, and Martiavius Williams. The men were reportedly planning to rob an armored truck at a PNC Bank, The Palm Beach Post reported.

After the heist, authorities said the suspects intended to execute the second robbery against another armored bank vehicle.

“As I look back, it looks like a TV production,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said during a news conference Friday. “We had a heads up in advance; we were intimately involved in planning for the arrest.

Canady was the purported mastermind who unknowingly had opened his mouth to a tipster who was covertly working with the FBI.

“In my decades of law enforcement I can’t remember a case where we had such good (intelligence),” Snyder said to WPTV.

“It was our swat team, our special operators,” Snyder added. “I will tell you with so much criticism of law enforcement, there were several dozen people with rifles and their fingers on the trigger — and nobody pulled the trigger.”

The suspects were taken into custody on February 20th, and are in federal custody.
