New York City Police officials say detectives investigating a gruesome murder case involving a woman whose dismembered remains were discovered scattered around a park in Brooklyn in early April, are looking closely at her roommate as a possible suspect.

Police sources told the New York Post that investigators questioned a woman who shared an apartment with the victim, Brandy Odom in Rosedale, Queens, and the roommate’s boyfriend.

The sources said Sunday that cops grilled the couple but let them go after both asked to speak with their attorneys, the Post reports

Additionally, authorities are attempting to obtain a warrant to search the Rosedale home and the boyfriend’s car.

A dog walker discovered Odom’s head and torso in Canarsie Park on April 9.

NYPD investigators later found the victim’s severed limbs in a bag in another area of the park.

Sources said cops managed to identify Odom by a tattoo of her nickname, “Chocolate,” on her left breast.

Detectives believe the remains were dumped in the park a short time before they were discovered.
