Rio Grande Valley Sector border patrol agents apprehended five MS-13 members and other criminal immigrants after they illegally snuck into the U.S. from Mexico during the past week. Agents also arrested a convicted killer and a child sex offender each with prior deportations.

Agents working at the McAllen Station took a Salvadoran citizen into custody after he illegally crossed the border on May 1st, near Mission. The agents carried out a background check and discovered that he had been previously deported from the U.S. The records also classified him as a member of the violent 18th Street gang.

Later that day, border patrol agents also arrested another Salvadoran national near the border town of Hidalgo. A background check named the adult male as a member of the ultra-violent Mara Salvatrucha or, MS-13 gang.

Weslaco Station agents arrested two criminal aliens from Guatemala after they illegally snuck across the border near McAllen. The arrests took place in two separate incidents on Monday. In the first, the agents found that a Lake Worth, Florida, court convicted the Guatemalan national for murder. He was given a 5-year prison sentence. The second Guatemalan man also has a criminal record. Authorities in Belle Glade and Orlando, Florida, filed separate charges of child fondling.

Agents arrested two more MS-13 members on Saturday. The agents arrested the first near Mission. That same day, Kingsville Station agents arrested another Salvadoran man near Sarita.

One of the Salvadoran men confessed to being an MS-13 member while government databases verified that the second man’s had a similar gang affiliation, according to Breitbart Texas.

McAllen Station agents arrested yet another Salvadoran native on Friday. Agents carried out a biometric check on and learned that he is also an MS-13 member.

Finally, McAllen Station agents apprehended another Salvadoran citizen near Madero. He is also categorized in the database as an MS-13 gang member.

In sum, the agents arrested five MS-13 members, one 18th Street gang member, a child molester, and a convicted murderer all over the course of one-week. It seems that immigration officers had previously deported several of those arrested.

If the aliens are charged and found guilty, they could receive up to 20 years in a federal lockup.
