Indiana Police suspect Kelly M. Cochran convicted of 2 murders could be a serial killer

An Indiana woman who injected her husband with a fatal dose of heroin before she smothered him to death with a pillow and allegedly served her lover’s body parts to unsuspecting neighbors at a barbecue may also be responsible for nine other slayings.

Last month, 34-year-old Kelly M. Cochran was sentenced to 65 years behind bars after she confessed to murdering her husband, Jason Cochran. However, she was already serving a life sentence for the slaying and dismembering another lover, Chris Regan, who went missing in 2014, ABC7 reported.

An upcoming documentary titled “Dead North,” set to premiere on May 28th and 29th on Investigation Discovery looks into other possible killings that may be tied to Cochran. Cochran’s family members told police that she might have murdered as many as nine people and buried their bodies throughout the Midwest.

Her friends and family also told officials the stomach-churning tale of how Cochran reportedly served Regan’s remains at a barbecue.

Iron River Police Chief Laura Frizzo, who probed Regan’s disappearance, said she met Cochran and her husband during the investigation. The detective discovered that Cochran was having an affair with Regan, but the case went cold until Jason Cochran died in 2016 of a purported overdose. Later on, police ascertained his wife murdered him.

Cochran confessed that she and her husband lured Regan inside their home, shot him and cut him up before she deposited his remains in the woods. Cochran claimed that she and her husband made a “pact” to “kill off anyone involved in extramarital affairs.”

She was sentenced to life in prison in 2017 for Regan’s killing and was sentenced on April 18th for her husband’s death.
