New Mexico Police arrest suspects wanted for triple homicide John Powell and Roger Gage

Authorities arrested two suspects accused in a triple homicide in northern New Mexico.

New Mexico State Police officials said officers spotted 33-year-old Roger Gage of Arroyo Hondo and 34-year-old John Powell of Taos driving in a vehicle Friday night in El Prado.

Cops stopped the vehicle and arrested both men without incident.

According to KRQE, Gage and Powell and Gage were named as suspects in Wednesday night’s triple homicide in Dixon, located north of Espanola, New Mexico.

The names of the victims’ weren’t released and law enforcement officials haven’t commented on a possible motive for the killings but did say the two suspects are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

Court records don’t list defense attorneys who could comment on the charges.
