Ohio authorities seize $3.4 million in cocaine, arrest six suspects

Six people were taken into custody in Columbus, Ohio after 75 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $3.4 million were confiscated, Attorney General Mike DeWine revealed.

The arrests were carried out after the Central Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission/ High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Task Force indicated that it discovered evidence confirming that the drugs were being smuggled from Mexico to Columbus on a semi-trailer, WDTN reported.

Detectives intercepted the vehicle in Columbus and served a warrant at a warehouse where they uncovered massive amounts of cocaine. Task force members also seized over $500,000 in cash, two stolen firearms, and multiple vehicles, including the semi used to smuggle the drugs.

The following suspects were arrested:

Davion Craig, 22
Antwonne Hunter, 49
Toinairis Hunter, 27
Josue Montelongo-Rangel, 34
Juan Vela Jr., 40
Luis Villareal, 28

All of the individuals are in custody at the Franklin County Jail.
