Minnesota City Council candidate David Martinez arrested for suspicion of revenge porn involving wife

Authorities in Minnesota arrested David Martinez, a candidate for City Council in St. Paul, on suspicion of violating the state’s revenge porn law after a topless picture of his estranged wife appeared on his campaign website.

St. Paul Police arrested David Martinez at his office last Monday, two days after a post included the topless photo appeared on his website.

The post appeared after his wife reportedly obtained a restraining order against him, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.

The troubled candidate was already banned from the city’s libraries following his July 5 arrest at a downtown location.

Martinez was also escorted our of Target Field in Minneapolis on July 6 and banned for a year following an altercation with security.

St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter has called on him to drop out of the race.

David Martinez has not yet commented on his arrest.
