Border Patrol agents in Arizona arrested two men for attempting to smuggle nearly 74 pounds of methamphetamine and nearly 4 ounces (113 grams) of suspected fentanyl pills into the United States.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a press release Monday the arrests occurred in two separate cases over the weekend at Arizona’s San Luis Port of Entry with Mexico.

Agents detained a 27-year-old man after a K-9 dog found the methamphetamine hidden in the gas tank of his truck when he tried to enter the United States.

Officials said the drugs had an estimated street value of nearly $220,000.

A Border Patrol K-9 unit at the same crossing later discovered suspected fentanyl pills on a 43-year-old man as he attempted to enter the U.S. on foot.
