Actor Liev Schreiber is scheduled to appear in a courtroom in Rockland County, New York on Tuesday to answer a harassment charge made by a photographer.

Schreiber’s attorney Jonathan Ripps, claims his client did not make physical contact with the photographer during an altercation in the Village of Nyack in June.

Instead, the lawyer maintains the 50-year-old star of Showtime’s crime drama “Ray Donovan,’ only pushed his camera away after a flash went off in his face.

“It’s unfortunate that he got charged because the allegation does not rise to the level of any law being broken,” Ripps told The Journal News.

Ripps said he intends to request a dismissal of the charge against Liev Schreiber during Tuesday’s court proceeding.

However, if the judge refuses to do so, Ripps said his client will plead not guilty to second-degree harassment, a misdemeanor violation.
