Authorities in Indiana inspecting a tractor-trailer made a stunning discovery last week: a million dollars’ worth of marijuana concealed inside fresh lettuce.

“This morning at 7:32am, a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 was stopped for a routine inspection near the 41-mile marker,” State Troopers revealed in a press release last Wednesday.

State authorities said a trooper noticed “several criminal indicators” as the search was progressing.

“A search yielded 260 pounds of hydroponic marijuana concealed within the fresh lettuce,” they added, noting that the drugs had an estimated street value of $1 million.

Two men, 33-year-old Jorge Blanco-Diaz and 40-year-old Adan Labanino Delacruz, both of Flordia, were arrested and charged with marijuana distribution, Fox28 reported.

Both men posted bond last on Thursday, which was set at $10,005 for each suspect.
