A dozen suspects were arrested last month after authorities in Chandler, Arizona took down a purported drug trafficking organization.

According to law enforcement officials in Chandler, their narcotics unit identified the enterprise in May 2017, which was involved in the distribution of illicit drugs.

“The drugs were being transported from near the Mexican border before being packaged and, distributed for sales,” police said in a press release.

Through their probe, investigators identified 12 suspects who were tied to the group, ABC15 reported.

All 12 were taken into custody and were booked into the Maricopa County Jail on July 24th.

The suspects have been charged with multiple felonies including illegal control of an enterprise, conspiring to possess narcotic drugs, money laundering, and selling dangerous drugs.

Authorities seized two pounds of heroin and meth, fentanyl, “various” quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and seven guns during the 13-month probe.

Chandler police worked with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and DEA during the investigation.
