Feds arrest 25 MS-13 members for drug trafficking, assault in California

Twenty-five members of the ultra-violent gang MS-13 were been taken into custody in Mendota and Los Angeles, California on charges of assault and drug trafficking.

The gangsters were arrested on federal and state charges tied to their gang operations, which includes assault with a deadly weapon and drug trafficking, The L.A. Times reported.

On Friday, two federal indictments were unsealed that indicated that two gang members have been charged with kidnapping and murder, and three other members were charged with conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon.

The arrests took place after reports surfaced of MS-13 securing a presence in Fresno County, in Central California between Los Angeles County and Sacramento.

The probe was targeting around Mendota, an area located roughly 35 miles outside of Fresno.

MS-13 is a transnational gang responsible for dozens of deaths on Long Island, New York with at least 25 remains discovered since 2016 in the area.
